Japan would rather die. Microsoft, I don't know what their shit deal is.

I hope so, but frankly we'll just have to see. The people with the money and power usually win.
Fun statement and all, but he clearly understood what humans wanted and needed. He just didn't factor in that imperfect humans wouldn't accept a society and life that were somehow perfect in spite of said humans. They en masse knew something felt off.
Thanks, bot!
I think you a word there.
You keep saying SPD and I keep wondering how Space Patrol Delta sunk so low. It's no wonder the top of the force turned evil and the B-team Power Rangers became the heroes we needed to stop them.
What?
What even is this.
I agree with you completely. I just wasn't about to write an essay on potential contributing factors that can help one succeed, plus luck. I just wanted to say that these days, there are a lot of indie smash hits out there that succeed in part because people saw a whole lot of love in them, when a lot of the more cynical corporate creators would never have made such things in such ways. Hell, it's not just indies. It's why many Nintendo games are so beloved, even "forgotten" ones like Earthbound. ^^
I am not upset, but I am genuinely curious why people are downvoting this. Is it in bad taste? Am I giving the wrong impression with my political leaning (left), or do people not like that leaning? Or is it just a bad meme and not funny? iunno.
I know that stupid rich CEOs and shareholders don't understand this, but… "heart". You make a game with heart, and it's immediately apparent to the audience. You can try to break down what it is that gives it away, but that's unnecessary.
If a work of art has heart, it will probably sell well. As long as people can clearly see what it is, and as long as it doesn't do anything alienating.
How is that fucking legal?
…Not really, but I get your point.
I agree, you will be liquid long before you ever reach a rocky surface. Or a molten one if it’s that.
There will always be a lot of instinctive retaliation from people who criticize even the slightest aspect of something they love. Some people just can’t think in nuance, I guess.
This is not an attack on your statement, as you’re definitely right. But I just want to add this:
Some people are (understandably) complaining about the severely limited character creator in Baldur’s Gate 3, and comparing it to even middle-range ones in other modern RPGs; but many other people are attacking us as if we are trolls and we hate games, and those people are getting a lot of support. Baldur’s Gate 3 is fantastic, but the character creator sucks. We’re allowed to have nuanced opinions, right?
Fuck you, Unity.
