Sorry that was me, I love the album. Didn’t like the second one though.

It plays amazing too, it really feels like a Sega/Namco game. I play in normal mode because I am not the greatest at racing games and I find it super enjoyable… The last racing game that interested me was excite truck on Wii and I test a lot of them to find something I like among them.
I totally agree with you, while Elden ring looks very nice, it is far from state of the art graphics, demons Souls PS5 show what it should look like if it went that way. I am happy they didn’t and instead focus on gameplay and game zones. I really think a lot of game producers go for the extra graphical fidelity instead of focusing on game contents. Dragons dogma 2 recently is stunning production wise, but as much as I adore the game, I wish they went the Elden ring road and had a huge world with tons of stuff to do.
I remember playing it as a teen in the arcades, what most impressed me at the time was the road verticality, it was fantastic for the time. I really miss the time of Sega and Namco arcade racers, I don’t find modern racing games enjoyable at all. One of the only exception is New star GP, it hits the feels perfectly and capture very nicely the looks from Virtua Racing. Now if only we could get Outrun 3.
Edit : speaking of Virtua racing, I remember playing the arcade cockpit version that was hitting/pushing you to simulate the car movements, these times were truly insane.
I think the added packages are just preinstalled software from their curated store (only family friendly and educative software) but that is just asupposition.
Oh I looked into it recently and discovered endless os, it has from scratch parental controls, an offline encyclopedia/Wikipedia lite an other educative softwares and games. You can use it totally offline as it seems to be made for educative purpose. Check it it could be interesting for your purpose. (You can also download and install more stuff for it of course)
It’s freeware of course. Their installer took ages to download, there are torrents of their full version (12Gb)
Try Musi, there are ads but it can play YouTube videos with a turn off screen.
Is that Jake from adventure time?

Firefox is the best for me. I thought chromium was open source though and not necessarily owned by Google.
Can’t wait for the new $5 “fee explanation” fee.
Meh gamepass is cool for now. It will probably go up in price and become shitty when they get enough market share but until then it is super cool. And honestly I think bing/edge is now the better choice as a search engine/browser compared to Google/chrome. But no way I will give up my Firefox.
I hate Denuvo but that is an interesting approach to compare the difference of behavior between the emulator and the original console. It means too that Nintendo is more concerned by the emulation than by switch hacking. I wonder if Nintendo will use them for their next system…
You gave me a mini heart attack, I was scrolling and thought ads were starting to appear in lemmy 😖
I had no problem with an action final fantasy but the gameplay wasn’t up to what it should have been. The combats system in itself could have been great(as it feels and play good) but it is totally lacking in a lot of aspect.
Consider final fantasy stranger of paradise, another beat them all final fantasy, where you have companions (and online coop), a diablo like loot system, the final fantasy job system, and a lot of customization with fixed characters (It still isn’t up to Nioh 2 level)
I would have been happy if FF16 had half of that.
And that is only on the gameplay part…
I don’t know what is the best but the clearest thing to me is that each day Google is getting worse…
Oh I didn’t know about the Manchester version! I have to hear it now, thanks.
