We literally had no water for 2 weeks, and the longest I remember to be without water since I have memory is no more than a day or two.

Lots of blocks were waterless and my dad (and many other persons) started to hunt for water in regions where they had (water was disgusting and with very low pressure though), so it was normal to watch lots of vehicles with “Rotoplas” attached to them, very very Mad Max like.

I fucking laugh when I read people recommending a bidet instead of toilet paper all around here on Lemmy or Reddit, like dude, I was taking a fucking shower for two weeks (I know this might sound like rookie numbers in some other places) with a freaking Carl’s Jr plastic glass of “The Batman” movie LMAO (Batman to the rescue), also with not so good quality water too, I’d rather keep with toilet paper and wipes.

Nowadays the city is kinda flooded thanks to the storm, and the lagoons have gained some of the level they lost (they were almost dry) which is kinda dystopic to me to have these extreme changes in a matter of several weeks (talking about climate change huh).

Swapping custom ROMs are the distro hopping of Android.

What I do to make the process faster is:

• Backup all my shit, with Google backup (which if it works, it is way crippled) and Swift backup root.
• Download newer ROM and desired root method (KSU as of lately).
• Flash said ROM and root it.
• Grab data from Google, give root permissions to Swift Backup and complete the data retrieval sane edition.
• Rinse and repeat.

My device is EOL and most custom ROMs come decrypted by default, so I am in no need to format data, which just makes this process faster as my data remains in the same folder, but if you have a good cloud solution and nice internet speed Swift Backup can take advantage of that.

For the short time of period that I use Cromite I’d say it’s adblocker is goodish, also you could pair it with a Pihole or a DNS adblocker if something leaks I guess…but sadly it has not any browser sync integration, and Firefox does this pretty well.

I am a simple man, just give me an adblocker and Dark Reader, everything else for mobile is a plus.

I have noticed Firefox Beta being slower than Chrome/Cromite in my SD 865 with 6 GBS of RAM device, either opening the app or websites, also it tends to stay alive in the background way less time than Chromium based browsers, but I still chose to use Firefox because of the extension support, and because Chromium has been in the enshitification path for so long.

… And that is why competition and “stealing features” is always good, being Apple’s or Google’s competition.
