The only people this should ever be used on is the assholes who came up with it. Black Mirror wasn’t meant to be a playbook people!

Excellent! I used to go there a lot until I got tired of overpaying
Damaging an aircraft is a serious felony, and you don’t own the airspace above your house so you legally can’t interfere with them. You think the people at Amazon haven’t thought about this? That thing will be covered in cameras and microphones, you won’t be able to touch it without being charged.
I see what you’re saying but the fact is any money we have is the money these types of companies are after, they’re not expecting rich people to keep McDonald’s afloat. They’re relying on commuters in a hurry, busy moms with whiny toddlers, people too tired after a day of work to cook for themselves etc. Voting with those dollars, however limited they may be, is the most powerful form of influence the lower class has.
They’re scared. Continue to avoid McDonald’s and they’ll keep lowering prices. We have the power because we have the money they want and can choose where to spend it.
What a nonsense article. Try to draw any curved mile-long line through Baltimore that doesn’t run through a predominantly black community, I’ll wait. There are unfortunately plenty of real racial issues to deal with, this NIMBYism posing as racial equity is just a distraction.
This captures why I don’t enjoy Harry Potter (in addition to JKR being a shitter)
I guess, no one NEEDS a video streaming platform. It’s not like a transportation or a food or power company monopoly, it’s one specific form of entertainment. Try going outside?
Great, all three people who have an INCOME of a million dollars a year might have to pay tax if they don’t move. Stop passing income taxes and then patting ourselves on the back thinking we taxed the rich, income is just one flavor of money and most rich people with a brain don’t have any income, it is the most taxed type of money.
Don’t take it from me, here is the literal CDC Facebook page telling people in Feb 2020 not to wear masks. And here is a scientific paper analyzing comments on their Facebook page comparing reactions of citizens to that Feb 2020 announcement, and the later April 2020 announcement where they did recommend masks. The paper explores lessons public health officials can learn from the failed messaging, it’s important to learn what we can so we’re ready for the next one. I do believe they were doing their best but this messaging was a mistake and it absolutely contributed to the confusion around this virus early on.

I don’t know why you’re lecturing me about this and including ad hominems, I understand how the virus spreads and take it very seriously, including masking where appropriate and getting the vaccine 4 months before it was available to the general public. I’m merely explaining how the CDC bungled the messaging at the beginning of the pandemic, it absolutely contributed to the amount of confusion. The public is simply not mentally equipped to handle that level of nuance, the CDC should have just said “masks work, wear one” and left it at that. The level of detail you explained is correct, and it’s way too much detail for the average brainrotted Facebooker to understand.
It’s kinda like the question of “how big does the body of water have to be before you’re comfortable swimming with a corpse?” Like we all know that’s how it works, but making a direct correlation makes it much more uncomfortable.
You’re saying this like sort of gotcha, but larger generators can be a lot more efficient than a smaller engine so even running a large diesel generator 24/7 to charge a battery is likely an improvement over a gas powered digger. Same reason powering an EV with a coal power plant is still a win over a gas car, bigger engines are more efficient.

That is infinitely funnier, using solely LoTR quotes would make road rage much more humorous
Seems like a good word, I like that
It’s only an “established slur” to some people (mostly in online niche communities), to a lot of people it’s just everyday speech. Words such as retarded, special needs, intellectually disabled, moron, imbecile and more are all terms used to describe a disability, just like “blind”. I’m tired of this artificially accelerated pejoration sped along by people who just want to correct others to feel good about themselves, the euphemism treadmill for people with intellectual disabilities in particular spins faster than for any other topic. We haven’t invented 15 different phrases for blind in the last 50 years, there’s no reason to do it for disabled brains any more than for disabled eyeballs.
Instead that energy should be focused on ensuring people don’t use someone’s disability to put the disabled person down. Those people are the real problem, not normal folks criticizing people for their shitty behaviors they can control, not immutable characteristics about themselves.
Foolish seems like a useful word, probably could be substituted and keep the intended meaning intact.

This has absolutely nothing to do with ADHD
