I’ve never really thought about it this way. Good point.

Better than writing beginner level crap that is at the same time super cryptic and not documenting at all. We have a bunch of that in our codebase and it makes me wonder why these devs are writing extension methods for functionality already built into the standard libraries.

It’s not just your memory. The devs for the definitive edition have been working to remake the navigation subsystem for some fuckall reason. It gets progressively worse every patch.
The original pathfinding was much better and felt more fluid and responsive.
They are already changing a few of my favorite things about the original version of AoM so some wind is already out of my sails. I hope they don’t unnecessarily change things for the sake of change and make it worse.
I’d prefer to call him a scam artist. He is really good at taking credit for other people’s work.
The first game is still loaded with bugs to this day. I had no faith in a second game, and this news does it no favors.
You know they aren’t paying their employees $275,000/year average. There is way more to that number than just letting go 600 employees.
Banished is a low bar. It had a lot of issues. I would argue the recently released Farthest Frontier is a better comparison. It also has some flaws but is leaps and bounds better than Banished.
I may be misunderstanding how it all works, but the venues choose the ticket service, not the artists.
I remember when the exact opposite was true. Their drivers were awful and their GPUs consistently overheated.
I am glad to see things change. Competition is always a good thing.
Most of these changes are welcome. The Swashbuckler change feels weird since it removes some strategy. Joker positioning is actually important and fun, so removing effects that enforce that mechanic is a little sad for me.
Guaranteeing a joker booster pack in the first store is a very necessary change since RNG on even getting a joker has screwed more than one run for me, but at the same time it almost feels like a required purchase which indicates some sort of design flaw.
Do NOT blame the devs for this. They are not the ones to decide the direction of the product or the priority of the tickets they work. Blame upper management for making these poor decisions and the product managers for being spineless and not pushing back.
These clowns still not realizing that wealth and trickle economics are mutually exclusive. By definition wealth is the hoarding of resources beyond one’s necessities. One does not get wealthy by releasing their wealth.
These people will not make more jobs. They will reduce the number of jobs, pay less and expect more, and hoard the extra wealth created by the hard work of their workers.
This past year tech companies have reported record profits while also seeing one of the highest layoff counts in years.
So they either did not do proper finance analysis or they are hiding numbers from shareholders, neither of which inspire confidence.
I stopped using the site when they required me to provide data every few weeks in order to see anything on the site. Come on, Glassdoor. It isn’t like I am job hopping or having salary changes every 30 days.
It has become useless for first time job seekers for this reason as well.
Agreed. Public safety is making everyone aware and allowing them to make informed decisions. Public safety is not hiding information hoping the problem solves itself.
The irony being the video game industry is currently one of the most unstable and corrupt industries right now. Video game CEOs are raking in money while the actual creatives are being fired left and right. There is serious brain drain and a mental health crisis is occurring.
When it’s worded this way I can almost accept the decision made by the SCOTUS. Almost.
Bruh I’d be just as atrocious regardless of gender.
You know what else kills a human? Forcing them to give birth even if they are not healthy enough to do so.
If you are going to make talking points at least be cohesive.
