  • FTA: “This stuff matters outside of the realm of this sordid court case, as well”.

Here’s the problem… no it doesn’t. ® voters have willingly sold their souls to the devil but are in complete denial about it. Every turn of the screw is just more evidence of whatever scam that they’ve heard last. That it’s the deep state, or “no true Scotsman” or whatever. They just want to keep owning the libs and see this all as background chatter from what to them is clearly as Donny puts it a political hit job.

Even if he loses the case, it’s not going to change things. It’s going to take a lot of hard work to get people out and vote like hell, to avoid hell.

  • Edge (caricature) examples will always exist. In college, I used to walk past the area where the “SchoolName Republican Meeting” took place. It always had 20 or so guys and 3-4 girls dressed like they were headed to a job interview. That’s not a hypothetical 10 year old but real people.

The Republican Party used to have ideas and thoughts, albeit backward and horrifying in many circumstances, but as of Trump, they’re largely nihilistic. You’re also correct in the thought that today’s democrats are in many ways to the right of 70’s and 80’s Republicans.

I’m not disagreeing that education plays a role, but that there’s a lot more nuance to how that is reflected in voting.

  • We can hope for sure. Trumps penchant for using his campaign funds for things could really obfuscate a lot of ‘donations’. The ‘easy out’ I see here is having one of Trump’s rich buddies (I’m sure he still has plenty of people who want a sweet cabinet position, ala DeVoss) takes dollars from Putin (likely as a sweetheart business deal) as a go-between. Money laundering has become an easy-joke these days.

Can you IMAGINE the orgasmic feeling of Trump actually suffering a consequence. No better account to surf this content under. Also, I forgot to switch accounts.
