I’m curious, If I delete my account periodically, are the profile and activity like comments/votes still out there in other instances? are votes deducted? I’m not sure if this is the right question but does deleting accounts federate?

Gmail (usually with +domain@gmail.com) is where my newsletters and unimportant emails go. I think I switched when they discontinued Inbox.
It’s almost like when companies try to build a wall, some people will try to break in, even for the sake of it, maybe the thrill of it, even if it worked for a minute.
Whatever their intentions, I’m glad they did. Apple got to strengthen their infrastructure (somewhat, users are still using it with access to a Mac), and it brought messaging interoperability conversation to congress.
People seem to forget Apple founders were doing this shit too. They build a blue box and sold it too.
ya, firefox really needed a customizable fork. I like my tabs on the sidebar and all the extensions didn’t make the experience feel native.
Hopefully this project brings more people to Firefox.
According to the article, the content stays, just cannot add more notes or notebooks. I followed the link to Evernote FAQ, and it says:
In keeping with Evernote’s 3 Laws of Data Protection, and to ensure that all users retain full ownership of their data, any Free user who currently has more than fifty notes and one notebook will still be able to view, edit, export, share, and delete existing notes and notebooks.
just heard of notesnook. are you using the self-hosted version or their free plan? is it self-hostable?
I just want to turn off Stories.
if you check the posters history, seems like a guy posting his own site everywhere, with AI images. so I’d just start blocking these.
is Telegram FOSS on fdroid restrictive?
With the anti-trust trial going on, I think this may be an attempt to get some hype to drown out some of the bad allegations. Like last week they were called out for changing search queries. I hope they follow through but i'm not sure.
Significant battery life improvements
Granular Internet Acess Control (Give users option to prohibit apps from connecting to data or Wi-Fi)

Unlimited Paypal money generator
There are so many things Google could do.

They are going to announce Youtube Music Messenger app in the next I/O, aren’t they? to add to their ever growing list of messenger portfolio.
Best way to use an Android is to stay as far away as you can from Google products or at least minimize it.
Protonmail, Organic Maps/Magic Earth, Signal, Firefox, Spotify, Newpipe, AntennaPod and so on.
dudes a redditor. getting enraged is a default setting.
finding solutions? nope, post more rage… that’ll fix it
what about this? https://kbin.social/m/android@lemdro.id/t/467656/To-improve-security-Google-s-making-it-slightly-harder-to-contribute#entry-comment-2442599
Google is not making Android for users, but itself as its advertising platform. Ever wonder why custom ROMs and even other manufacturers have a permission to block internet access for specific apps in their Android forks but Google does not? hmm… Alright
Google isn't looking out for anyone but itself. These kind of restrictions and excuses are exactly what Apple calls "security".
Just off the top of my head, Android allows multiple browser engines to work on it, allowing firefox to use extensions. Android can torrent, while you can't on stock iOS without hacks. Firefox with extensions on Android is god send if you're a power user.
For someone who claims to be a power user, it's really showing… And don't forget open source ecosystem is much much much bigger on Android.
I think i’m going to stick with my 6a until they move to their own processor (that’s not exynos)
