As a Lenovo Go user that can access both worlds this is an interesting article to see where I stand in terms of overall access to games. But shouldn’t a Steamdeck have more titles? As far as I know you can’t you also side install Windows for games from other platforms?

I’m with you on that thought. After some time of mulling over a Steamdeck the Lenovo Go came out and solved my want for detachable controllers problem. So I bought a Lenovo Go. Yeah. It’s Windows. I know. But in terms of everyday use it has surprisingly fast replaced my desktop for most things. Browsing. Indiegames. Streaming. With a dock and a wireless mouse keyboard combo it even holds up as a suitable media device connected to a TV or connected to a monitor for normal office tasks. And it’s a beast for emulation(Thx Emudeck).

Yes. And our back tells us sometimes.

Ja. Das haben viele meiner ehemaligen Kollegen auch getan. Büro oder BZ oder sowas. Die dehumanisierung, die manche Leute gegenüber dem Personal an den Tag legen ist auch einfach nur pervers. Und sich dann wundern, dass man ab einem gewissen Punkt auch nicht mehr freundlich bleiben will.

14 Jahre seit ich den Schienenverein hinter mir gelassen habe. Geändert hat sich anscheinend nichts. Aber es ist immer amüsant deine Berichte zu lesen. Weckt Erinnerungen an die Front.

But the broader visibility out of the niches is a more recent phenomenon. I’m around the net since the early bulletin boards thanks to my really forward looking parents. And jeah. I’ve seen shit early on. But furries are something that I’ve first encountered in their recent form in the late 2000s early 2010s. Andnthat was about 20 years after the first acoustic coupler sounds rang through my parents living room. And I sure as hell didn’t shy away from all the places where they could have been encountered.

I live that way. Religion is on point for some of the people in the community. But most people are chill and just don’t want to feel bothered by having “stuff” around they haven’t used in ages and that just catches dust. For example I love reading books. Most of them I sell or give away to charity afterwards, if I’m sure I will not read them again, so that others can read them too and a new one doesn’t have to be produced.

Societal progress is like the figurative drop of water eroding the stone over time. It will happen. It just takes time. I’m protesting right wingers and bigots since the 90s. And many of the ideas and politics that are nowadays common weren’t back then. Give it time.
