Remember when Snowden presented proof that big tech companies were being used to spy federal governments in South America? Maybe you don't care about that, but people who live outside of USA sure do.
If you're an American citizen you should never willingly compromise yourself to a foreign entity, let alone an adversary.
While my own Government and its Corporations do spy on me, I know that I'm not in danger of losing my life or livelihood because I'm not a threat to either of them, and there's basic rule of law to protect me.
With the CCP, if I as an American have any value to them that can be used to destabilize my own Country or to increase China's hegemony they could use me to their own purposes and I and my country could very much be in danger.
I hope any kid or teen who uses Tiktok doesn't desire power or politics one day, because there's a significant chance those very personal things you recorded could potentially be used against you to the benefit of the CCP in the future.
