    Tbf, they only stopped using ketamine on humans because they got tired of people having alien encounters on the operating table.

      Ketamine is still used in anesthesia on humans in many countries. Also, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a thing now, I'll be having my second session next month.

      How long ago? My brother was given ketamine for a surgery like 4 years ago

        Been a couple decades since I did much reading in this area, but as I recall, it was around the Vietnam war, when it was being used as a field anaesthetic.
