Is this some sort of thinly veiled attack on Apple for pulling some of their manufacturing out of China? Or is it because the phones are too secure/private compared to the platforms the Chinese government wants citizens to use?
Probably both. It’s an easy way to attack. Also, let’s not forget USA banned Chinese made phones from companies like Huawei Technologies and ZTE phones for similar stated reasons. This could be retaliation for that as well.
