Community for JavaFX

JavaFX is the modern successor to Swing for GUI development in Java/JVM, and it needs a home on Lemmy.

Will it ever be a big community? No. But on r/JavaFX there are several new posts each week.

Many of the posts on r/JavaFX are questions that aren’t suitable for StackOverflow.com as they are too general or theoretical for that site. But they are perfect for a discussion forum, and the JavaFX community needs something like that.

I’m sure that any JavaFX Lemmy community will be linked from JFX-Central and the other more static resources on the web.

Request Guidelines

Please give both the value for the url and the display name for the community (we’ve been using snake case for most of the urls)
Communities must fit within the instance as being aimed at topics relevant to software engineers, hackers, hardware and software enthusiasts, script kiddies, cryptographers, researchers, roboticists, and more.
If you have the same idea as someone else upvote their post rather than making a new one just so there isn’t duplicates
If requesting an inactive community the mods within the community have to have been inactive for more than two weeks

This community can be federated to other instances and be posted/commented in by their users.
